At the Royal Institute of Management and Advanced Studies (RIMAS), an NCTE-approved institution for both B.Ed. and D.Ed. programs, we recognize that a deep understanding of human behavior, development, and learning is essential for effective teaching. Our dedicated Psychological Resource Center (or Psychology Lab) is meticulously equipped to meet and exceed all NCTE requirements, providing our students with the necessary tools for hands-on experience in educational psychology.

 

Core Objectives for Teacher Trainees

 

The Psychological Resource Center is crucial for applying theoretical knowledge into practical insights, enabling future teachers to:

• Understand Child Development: Conduct practical studies on the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children at various stages.

• Study Learning Processes: Analyze and apply different theories of learning to classroom situations.

• Assess Individual Differences: Learn how to administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological tests to identify students' aptitudes, interests, intelligence, and personality traits.

• Address Classroom Challenges: Develop skills in diagnosing and addressing common behavioral issues, learning disabilities, and motivational challenges in school settings.

• Conduct Action Research: Utilize tools for collecting empirical data to inform their teaching practices and contribute to educational research.
